KDCC demands repair of roads throughout the state – The Morung Express

Kohima, September 6 (MExN): The Kohima District Congress Committee (KDCC) held an emergency consultative meeting with all its frontal organisations, including District Youth, District NSUI and District Mahila and presidents of all seven Assembly Constituency Congress Committee at Congress Bhavan, Kohima on September 5.

KDCC President, Kevi Vizo in a press release said the meeting held threadbare discussion on the present internal crisis within the ruling NPF party which has been “causing immense difficulties to the general public with the elected representatives only concentrating for their own self-vested power game.”

While expressing serious concern, the house resolved to demand that as the government of the day, the elected representatives should concentrate on public welfare activities and immediately take maintenance of the roads throughout the State.

KDCC also appreciated ACAUT Nagaland for holding the mass public rally against all forms of corruptions prevailing in the State. It decided to extend fullest support to ACAUT’s demands made through the public rally for institution of CBI investigation into the infamous MKR Pillai case and enquiry by Central agencies into PDS scams, fuel adulteration and other development funds.

Further, KDCC condemned the brutal killing of a taxi driver whose body was found on September 3. Stating that such crime brings forth serious security lapses, it urged the district administration to remain extra vigilant so as to restore the trust on the general public.

Meanwhile, KDCC appealed to the general public and concerned citizens of the State Capital to attend the NPCC public meeting scheduled to be held on September 8, 11:00 am at Congress Bhavan, Kohima.
