Navy continues to conduct operations against fuel smuggling in Putumayo – CGFM



Puerto Leguízamo, Putumayo. Troops of the National Navy in coordination with the National Police seized 6,060 gallons of fuel, type Jet A, in the area of ​​the hamlet Puerto Ospina, in the municipality of Puerto Leguízamo, in the department of Putumayo.

The fuel was found in 101 plastic 60-gallon barrels aboard a mail boat; it failed to present documentation certifying the fuel’s legality.

The seized material was put into custody of the Mayor’s Office of Puerto Leguízamo. In this region of the country, the National Navy through the Southern Naval Force has managed to seize about 24,000 gallons of fuel, reaffirming the fight against all organized armed groups that intend to use maritime and fluvial spaces to carry out criminal actions.
