Chief executive Jose Antonio Gonzalez Anaya vows player ‘will resolve’ issue of stolen and disrupted output

Pemex has been taking action to combat the theft of its fuel and other products, its chief executive told Mexico’s top oil conference. The state-led oil company lost about 20 billion pesos, or $1.09 billion, in revenue in 2016 to criminal organisations that routinely blow up pipelines or otherwise siphon off production. “The impact is not just to Pemex, or to the finance ministry, but also the social fabric and all the mechanics of the state,” Jose Antonio Gonzalez Anaya
